This year I fell in Love with photo journalism. It is an awesome feeling to be able to share in and document the happiness and tragedy of others, most of them complete strangers. I have had the privilege to work as a news photographer three days a week throughout this year and it has really opened my eyes and stirred my emotions toward the art form that photo-journalism can be. Raw and real is what drives me and this is where it’s found. Please come with me as I share the memories I have been privileged to be a part of.
I Believe a portrait should capture the essence of the person or family being photographed. My goal in portrait photography is to create and capture a memory and a moment that will last. I like to meet with you before the shoot to get a feel for what makes you or your family tick to create a more accurate portrayal. I utilize natural light and your natural settings whenever possible. You can think of it as having a professional photographer at your house or the places you play to capture the everyday smiles and laughter that make life wonderful.

Yes, these are actual spider webs. I spend hours hunting for the perfect spider web that I then sealed onto many different and beautiful glass pieces from small items that can be displayed on your desk to large glass side tables. There is no limit to what a web can be embedded into.Like a vase for flowers and even your favorite coffee cup, I take requests if you cannot find one that suits your style. Feel free to browse the items I have already created and don’t be afraid to share any ideas you may have. Enjoy!

New Bern at Night presents Historic New Bern, North Carolina in classic black and white photography all captured in the stillness and solitude of the night. Not only does this 50 page book display page after page of New Bern’s unique architecture it also gives you a brief history of all image’s presented in the book. Also all images in the book are available as fine art prints and don’t forget that since publishing New Bern at Night I have continued to add new images to the New Bern at Night collection.

The gallery is packed full of every type of imagery imaginable from abstract to still life, black and white to vibrant colors, photography captured from the first day picked up a camera to photos taken today. It’s all there and new images are added frequently so please check back often. Once you find that perfect photograph for yourself or for a gift to a loved one you can choose to from many media types including archival cotton rag, premium luster and even canvas. Includes: - Pre-shoot consultation to get to know you and/or your family. - One hour of shooting at a loction of your choice or one of the unique locations I have scouted throughout New Bern and Eastern NC - Ideal for baby, child or family portraits. I can bring the photo shoot to you for maximum ease and convenience. In studio sessions are available as well. - Photographs presented for you in an online proof gallery. Three 8x10 prints or three sets of wallet prints (8 prints per set). - Additional prints available (print prices click here.) Professional framing available.
Basic Portrait Session

Custom Portrait Sessions
Hourly rates and custom portrait session packages are available. You can request or design your own unique photo session or I work with you to develope a sitting and portrait that is uniquely you. Please email for details and pricing.

A compelling way to enjoy all the photographs from you portrait sitting, this custom slide show is created by me and is playable on your computer or DVD player.
- Mini Documentary - $495
Sometimes a photo just wont do. This short film will capture and showcase you, your fiance, child, children, family.
